Where you're going?

If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else.
           -- Laurence J. Peter

Somewhere else than what?

When I was young, I protested mightily against the Eastern idea of letting higher powers take over control and direction of your life. I had been taught that control was all and it was absolute. And there was no excuse for not controlling every bit of your life, and more than that, it should actually extend to everything around you. They call it "responsibility".

In recent years I've learned that this desire comes only from the ego. And what's bad about it is:

  1. it's simply not possible. The ego can control a lot, with enough power, but never even close to Everything.
  2. If you can, it won't make you happy. It will only make you sad control freak trapped by fears of anything changing. (Which it will. No emperor every ruled more than a few decades.)
  3. As an ego, we basically don't know anything. Just look at one little area: all the different theories about what's good to eat and what's not. We know nothing.
  4. The "higher forces" are really our Higher Self. From an ego viewpoint, it can often feel like an outside influence, but it is Us, only from a universal viewpoint, which does know everything, and knows what's best for the Whole.
So, my belief is that if you have to apply a lot of force to get "your will", you're probably fighting your Higher Self, and... well, guess who is the biggest and baddest? Give up sooner and be happy sooner.

Nice, Eo. Yes...I was talking w/someone, the other day, about how IMPOSSIBLE it is that anything in a work environment (they were "insisting" on "stability" in a work environment) could remain constant in the workplace, especially these days; that everything in life is constantly changing; that is the only absolute and...if they try to fight change, it will only cause them more grief than to just look at the future as yet (and still; the only "absolute" about it! :-) another "adventure!" :-)

Can't explain it.
Perhaps try a different email address from a different host. Most likely is they are spam-filtered somewhere along the line for some reason.
But the electronic world is as full of mysteries as the "real" one.

It's all Google sheeit! lol! But...good idea; I'll see if the other one works. Would be weird, though, wouldn't it: Google being spam-blocked from it's own gmail?! :-D "Mysteries" for SURE! :-(

we can choose where to put our attention. We can choose to non-react. We can choose to remain passive to the Center where God works mightily, though without fanfare. We can choose to LET him work and behold all life fall into place.
