Hey--thanks for this one. I've been wanting to find this quote for years, but haven't wanted to go digging around in Casteneda to find it!
I feel that with him, as opposed to with Don Juan himself, there's always a little lingering darkness that sticks around like an aftertaste, and I haven't wanted to get in there.
