"There is nothing to forgive!"
I used to live with a women who would have dreams about something I had done to her that she took offense to.
She would wake up really pissed at me and make me suffer for a while. Needless to say,it put a strain on our relationship.
One of the most important concepts that I have gotten from 'The Course' is that there is nothing to forgive because nothing has been done to you.
The analogy I use is that we are all asleep on a grassy hillside and periodically roll into each other, disturbing the harmony of the moment. The operative word here is 'asleep'.
Like my Ex, it is her dream and she is responsible for it in this duality. I did nothing.
So when I feel someone has done something to me, I realize that since we are all asleep, there is nothing to forgive.
Just so.
