Punishment

Punishment is always the great preserver of sin; treating it with respect, and honoring its enormity. What must be punished, MUST BE TRUE. And what is true MUST be eternal, and WILL be repeated endlessly.
-- A Course in Miracles, chapter 19

Taken out of context, it looks like The Course supports punishment, but it's the opposite, it is talking about the belief of the Ego, which is wrong.
So long as you believe "sin" must be punished, you are just making it real and perpetuating it.

I have watched as I traveled these earths shifting sands. And I know that I have seen hearts that truly understand what we are meant to understand. There are very few. Its not about what we have or what we can have or what we try to keep. Its more about letting go and truly understanding that the more we let go of the more the universe brings into our lives. It is a lesson that is glimpsed by most of us at times in our lives, and for a moment is understood...but the programing of our lives by religion and politics and all the different subliminal ways that are available in our society right now soon puts the largest part of humanity back on the "right course". The course of greed and hate and grasping for everything out of our fear of death and our lives having no lasting meaning...and we end up being remembered only for the greed and the hate we showed... no matter what excuse we use for it.

The truth will set you free.

A very powerful statement in my life as I recall it.

Forgiving oneself for their ignorance in all things....and...forgiving the human race for their ignorance in all things.

it is not a matter of asking for ones desires.... it is a matter of "being thankful for the fulfillment of ones desires" in this creative level of existence...for lack of better wording in the English language.

I don't feel that Christianity's endless pursuit of using Jesus Christ as their shield and excuse for not accepting the responsibility for their own actions, is the truth of "my" existence.

Here I stand and continue to pursue the "truth"... as the "truth" will set me free.

Hold your two best friends in your arms as they die, and realize that you learned more about loving and understanding life from your Dog and your Cat and their 18 years of companionship and loyalty than you see in most of the human race.

LIVE LIFE ON THE EDGE OR GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY.

Ignorance is like Knowledge...
And Knowledge is like Ignorance...

Both can manifest themselves is wonderful ways almost beyond comprehension.

Seemingly equal in pandemic affect...

Ignorance cannot observe Knowledge and grasp its value and fulfillment and the doors that it opens....
Knowledge sees the devastation and pain and the reason why those full of ignorance strike out against the "enlightened"....

Neither can be labeled as good or evil although some will try...

One who is on the road of Knowledge observes one's actions and those of others and learns even more... as one does so without judgment.

those on the road of ignorance do not have this ability and are doomed to travel further down that road

Little people who step on other peoples accomplishments to make themselves look good and believe that it is "OK" to treat others with disrespect and use little things like "verbal abuse", "misdirection", "outright lying", etc.,... to continually keep others who are more deserving from getting what they want out of life are just frightened little children...funny how that applies to so many areas of life...

CHOICES ARE SELDOM LINEAR. THROW A STONE IN A QUIET POND AND SEE THE IMPACT OF EACH DECISION. SOMETIMES THE GREATEST IMPACT MAY BE ...not throwing the stone.

"Alas! Our penetration increases as we grow older, and we are no longer deceived by great words when unrealized and unembodied. Say rather, we detect littleness in expressions and thoughts that once we should have taken and cited as proofs of strength."... Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The only thing women hate more than being viewed as a sexual object....is NOT being viewed as a sexual object."

Not at all worrying about anything, just on my continual pursuit of that relative truth about women not wanting to be thought of as a sexual object, but women wanting to be thought of as a sexual object...?

That is why I try to present myself in a positive manner, but also try to give as much explanation of my truth as I can, but still fit the parameters of most of the society we live in. I do seem to expect more from the human race, and most individuals than they deserve, but always interested in fine tuning my image, so as to quietly fit in this physical world.

hmmmm... when I feel confident and happy in my body and in myself (and my sexuality is all part of that) I don't really want to be viewed as a "sexual object." Women generally think of guys that "ogle" an particular aspect of themselves as neanderthals. If we're living in beauty, which includes deepening spirituality, I guess we don't hope for anything. We radiate LIFE and BEAUTY which some may interpret as "hotness" or "sexuality." Dreamwalkers that see only our boobs, for example (like Mr. Inappropriate missing the whole beauty of the Danish princess) don't merit even annoyance. Women see them as boys that haven't grown up. Same thing when a woman sees a handsome, confident, intelligent man: there's a shared sense of happiness and appreciation just to be in that presence. Can you imagine a woman focusing on one body part of that presence? It's just silly. And in that presence, sexual arousing is all there as well, and no big deal! Part of the spice of life, the juiciness of existence.
Addiction to the idea of possessing that as an object is simply to be outgrown, and like you said elsewhere Eo, is never enough.

I notice when I type not wearing my glasses though this thing happens more often :)

so much love to share,
so much beauty, when we
find ourselves outside a limited self, the colors of existence,
every little twig seems to be for
us. And women, compared to twigs!
so much immense beauty to share,
when we grow up, just to take a walk
and be with each other,
it is a joy.

Yes. I've sometimes been gently teased for seeing women as goddesses.

I like the fact that I have discovered this side of Eolake. I so love the flesh. It is where we live in this world. But inside is what we truly are and if there is an afterlife, it is what we take with us. After this life, I take with me all the truth that I have appreciated of the flesh and of the spirit, and I accept myself totally for appreciating both.

Thanks.
Now you mention it, an owner of an adult site may not be most people's first idea of a person with spiritual ambitions.

But sexuality has to be forgiven and lit up too, so maybe I'm not dirty but just a pioneer. :-)

both "dirty", "pioneer"
are illusions. There's pleasure and pride in identifying as a dream character, but joy only in awakening from all dreams.

hahahaha...

I am so the dirty pioneer and the illusionist also. The true joy is truly awakening from all dreams. Such is so very much the truth.

In the mean time...I have been with enough women to know that true happiness is not found between a woman's legs.....although... it is a very nice place to spend time and dream about spending time....:O)
